About Me
Dr. Qiwei Zhang is an Assistant Professor at University of Texas at San Antonio. He was Researcher-Modelling Engineering at U.S. National Renewable Energy Lab 2024-2025, and was a Postdoc at Johns Hopkins University 2023-2024. He received his Ph.D. and M.S. degrees from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, and his B.S. degree from North China Electric Power University, 2022, 2018, and 2016, respectively. He has a consistent track of publication including IEEE PES transaction journals, Applied Energy, iScience, Scientific Data, and Nature Energy. He is currently an associate editor of IEEE Data Description, IEEE Access, and IET Generation, Transmission & Distribution, and has been an outstanding reviewer and guest editors for several other journals. He collaborates closely with national labs, universities, and industry partners. His research interests include:
